Always a good place to start, resin is a flexible material that can be laid onto any surface in this case the resin is mixed with a range of aggregates and poured onto the desired driveway surface, this is then evened out to the correct industry standard specifications.
You will notice two types of resin driveways mentioned that of resin bound and resin bonded. Resin bound is the surface choice for driveways and patio areas, it has a much smoother finish than that of a resin bonded surface, and these are normally used for anti-skid properties due to its much rougher textured finish.
Without a doubt they are the most attractive driveway surfaces, due to there high range of colours and designs available. There is something for everyone and every property.
You will find they are, when installed by professionals quick to install in comparison to other driveway types meaning you get your driveway back much quicker.
Every driveway will have a different cost, factors that affect the cost are the dimensions, current surface type and the equipment needed to install the driveway. Optional extras can increase the overall cost of the installation.

We’d suggest against installing a resin driveway yourself and leave it to a company that has the experience and will install the driveway to the correct specifications. That way you know the driveway will last for years to come.
Some installers may not use the correct resin, it’s important to use a resin that will reduce the risk of a slippery surface. If the surface is installed to the correct specifications then cracks shouldn’t appear this is where frost and ice would collect allowing for a slippery surface.
We’d also suggest maintaining the resin driveway, allowing for weeds and other unwanted contamination such as grass, algae and lichen will make the surface slippery.
