Hello, Stephanie you’ve been in the property industry for 14 years now –
So, I actually fell into Estate Agency at first as my dad is an estate agent, so I suppose you could say it is in the genes….I VERY quickly realised I had a real passion for property. It went from there and here we are now!
Throughout my career, I have covered all aspects of the job. I am currently a Local Property Partner for Purplebricks which means that I cover all valuations within Cornwall. I love that every home I visit is different and every one of them has it’s unique selling point, the best part is completion day when we have happy sellers moving on and happy buyers collecting keys for their dream home.
So as we all know, prices have been incredible for the past two (ish) years and also a very hard market for first time buyers to get onto the property ladder. In my opinion, we are at a plateau. There is still a lot of demand for property as there is not enough currently coming onto the market.
1. It is all about kerb appeal, the first thing that all potential buyer’s see is the exterior of the property so make sure that this is looking at it’s best. 2. Declutter but DO NOT de-personalise. 3. When potential buyers come to view, make the property as light & airy as possible along with making it smell nice, they say that the top three “home selling smells” are: Coffee, Fresh Flowers & Home Made Bread!
The most important impact on any buyer would be that the property has a great first impression, it also means that any buyer would not need to worry about spending lots of money before even getting into the property.
Personally, I absolutely ADORE the resin surfaces as these have an amazing life span, they look so clean cut and you can choose from so many designs of your choice! I have actually had a couple of properties that have had this done and the difference that they make to the overall look of the property is incredible!
